The North Carolina Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated in 1991. It is located south of Trinity and can be accessed from the I-85 rest stop between mile markers 100 and 101.
As illustrated to the left, the site is showing signs of deterioration, from broken lights to crumbling brickwork and dead trees.

The Memorial is surrounded by a large, landscaped berm approximately ten feet high. The entrance is from the south via a brick path that circles the inside of the berm to the memorial wall on the north end. Benches and trees line the circular path. The central lawn is Bermuda grass.
