Every single tree along the west path (from the northbound side) has been removed. The three arrows in the foreground indicate stumps. The arrow way in the back is the broken stantion pictured here. Also note the poor condition of the landscaping.

This tree is trying to regrow itself from the bottom. All the trees on the innermost ring are in this condition. Crepe myrtles are hardy, so how bad must the conditions be?

Many of the trees inside the Memorial exhibit a large amount of dead wood. Some have been stumped (like the one above).
